The Wandering Ant
Friends, greetings in Jesus Name! Today, I will be sharing with you on what I title, “The Wandering Ant”. Sometime ago, I was away for a retreat. On the study table where I lodged, I spilled a cup of tea. Not long, there was a long stretch of Ants that formed a queue from up the ceiling down to the table. They were moving up and down from the table to the ceiling. Then I began to watch closely, and was enjoying how they effectively organized themselves and communicated with each other. I observed that each Ant follows a particular route that leads to the ceiling. Sometimes, there will be less traffic on the route, but somehow each individual Ant knows its way to their destination. Usually, when one Ant meets another on the way, they stop a while to give pleasantries and hug each other. Now, the movement got interesting when one particular Ant seemed to have lost its bearing and missed its way to the top. Instead of following the usual route that leads to the ceiling, it started going haphazardly – wandering about – as though it did not know the way up any longer. I noticed it forgot the general rule of the game to stick to the route even when it’s lonely. Then I decided to follow this particular Ant to see its ultimate end. Somehow, I felt like pulling it off from the wrong track to the right direction. But I noticed that if I do so, I might kill it due to its delicate nature. Unfortunately, it continued to wander off the track, until it went into oblivion. At this point, the Lord began to minister to me. Immediately, I took up a pen and started writing. The Lord began by asking me a question: “Son, what happens to a train when it goes off track”? The answer was so clear before me: DISASTER! Then He said, “That’s what is going on in the lives of so many of my children. Many of them are wandering in the wilderness. A journey meant for one day is taking some of them a life time. Why? Because they have left the track set before them. This reminds us about the story of Israelites. A journey meant for 40 days took them 40 years. What a horrific journey and time wasting. If not for the mercy of God, they could have all died in the wilderness wandering round in a circle. Beloved, you can’t afford to wander about this year. There is no time to waste any longer. “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the manifestation of the sons of God” (Rom. 8:19). Really, your destiny desperately calls for manifestation. It must be fulfilled, not on your terms, but on God’s terms. Meaning, you must align to God’s purpose and plan for your life. Remember, the year is still warming up, and you have ample time to make necessary adjustments. Therefore, follow God’s GPS for your Life, and you will be sure not to miss your direction. If you are familiar with using the GPS (Global Positioning System), you will see the power of technology on display. The first time I saw the GPS was many years ago in the U.S. My sister and I were driving to some place, and she quickly punched in the address, and the voice over from the GPS started giving us directions – “turn left and turn right” – the next thing I heard it say was, “you have reached your destination”. In fact, it blew my mind. Really, in just no time we were right there at the exact location. Listen, God has got His GPS for you – the Holy Spirit – and He expects you to rely on Him every day of your life. Right now, I break every limiting force holding you bound to a spot in Jesus Mighty Name. By the power in the name of Jesus, you shall wander no more. You will hit your target, always right on time without delays. Go and Conquer in 2021. Have a fantastic week. With love, Elvis!
