Manifesting God’s Power
Friends, greetings in Jesus Name! Today I will be sharing with you on what I title, “Manifesting God’s Power. Many of us want to see the living proof of God’s power in our lives. I mean, we want to command sicknesses and diseases to go, raise the dead, cast out demons, have our needs met, and constantly walk in victory, etc. Even though this power is made available for free, it still does not come cheap. There is a price to be paid. What’s the price? It’s about presenting our lives as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable unto God (Romans 12:1-2). In other words, living a life that attracts God’s presence! While meditating this past weekend, the Lord whispered to my heart saying, “Son, manifesting my power is not a function of how long you have been born again. You can be “born again” for 20 years but remain “born against”. Meaning, you remain a dwarf as against a giant in the spirit, with no evidence of my presence in your life.” Beloved, I am sorry to say that many believers in Christ are powerless because they have not learned how to cultivate the abiding Presence of God in their lives. It’s the presence of God in your life that generates power. The degree of God’s power in operation in your life, is a function of his manifest presence. Meaning, someone who is one-year old in Christ, can outgrow a 20-year old believer, simply by consistent practice of God’s Presence in their lives. How do you cultivate or practice God’s Presence! David said in Psalm 27:4, “One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple.” The evidence of your physical growth is your good dieting. If you stay a month without food and water, you will die of starvation. The same applies spiritually. What happens is that you become spiritually dead while alive physically. As a child, Samuel could perceive and receive what God was not willing to reveal to an elderly Eli. Yes, it has nothing to do with age, but accurate positioning in the spirit. Instead of walking in victory, many today are walking in defeat. In John 14:12 Jesus declared, “He who believes in me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do.” Meaning, if Jesus raised the dead, cast out devils, opened blind eyes, cleanse the lepers, fed five thousand men with two fishes and five loaves – then we too can do even greater. Isn’t that interesting! But what is holding us back? It’s simple! Pay the Price and Get the Prize. In the Bible we saw how Apostle Paul displayed God’s Power, even Peter’s shadow healing the sick, how Elijah issued a command and it did not rain for three years, and so on. All these people paid the price. According to Norvel Hayes, “The only reason you can’t do more than you are doing right now is that you don’t have enough Power. You can do anything if you have God’s Power to do it. Jesus had a lot of God’s Power. He paid the price to get it.” Even as God while on earth, Jesus constantly “rose early in the morning to pray” (Mark 1:35); “He fasted forty days without food” (Matt. 4:2). If I may ask: When last did you fast and pray intensely, how many chapters of the Bible do you read or study daily, do you meditate on scriptures, how passionate are you about soul winning, are your colleagues at work aware that you are born again, when last did you lay hands on the sick? You see, there is no short cut to manifesting God’s power. It’s either you pay the price or nothing. As God’s children, the entire world awaits our manifestation (Rom. 8:19). The world won’t get better without fire brand Christians occupying their places of influence. “You are the salt of the earth, the light of the world” (Matt. 5:13-14). Meaning, you are an embodiment of light. The world remains in darkness until you show up. Remember, “But as many as received Him, to them he gave the Power to become the children of God” (John 1:12). The moment you received Christ, you were born into power. But that power becomes visible when you begin to walk in the newness of Christ. Colossians 2:6-7 says, “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.” As a child of God, you have no excuse to walk in defeat any longer. Now make a radical decision today to increase your commitment to the things of God. As you do, your life will never remain the same again. Yes, I am a witness. Have a Fantastic Week. With love, Elvis!
