Enforcing your Dominion
Friends, greetings in Jesus Name! Today I will be sharing with you on what I title, “Enforcing your Dominion”. All that man needs to succeed in life has been given to him from the very moment the first man, Adam, was created. Ugly situations of life will always remain and hang around people’s neck if nothing is done. Really, nothing just happens. You must do something to make things happen in your life. If you do not enforce the dominion mandate given to you by God, then you end up being ruled and controlled by your circumstance. In life it’s ok to shed tears once in a while. It could be tears of joy, and some other cases tears of pain you are going through. But more often than not, majority of people shed tears over unprecedented pains and pressures of life they are going through. I have wept and shed tears in private regarding certain situations that were overwhelming. But our response to such situations shouldn’t end in the realm of shedding tears only, without doing nothing. This is the mistake many people make. We should learn from David who shed tears when the Amalekites came to destroy his properties and took his wives and children as captives. But what did he do next? Did he continue to cry and weep? No! The bible says, David encouraged himself in the Lord, and went further to enquire of the lord on what to do. According to 1 Samuel 30:8, “David enquired of the LORD, saying, shall I pursue after this troop? Shall I overtake them? And the Lord answered him, Pursue: for you shall surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.” As God’s children, this must be our mindset in every situation we find ourselves. Unfortunately, today, many people end up only weeping and crying. They do nothing to exercise their authority and dominion mandate. They do not enquire of the Lord. And even when God is trying earnestly to speak and offer help to them, they won’t hear. They just prefer to shout and wail, seeking for sympathizers. Listen, if it is just weeping and wailing that move God, the whole world would be a better place today. Why? There are so many tears going on all over the world, and the situation doesn’t seem to get better. You know what? The devil likes it that way. He wants you to be perpetually apprehended and overwhelmed by his incessant attacks over your destiny. Well, our God is still very merciful. He won’t overlook the poor and the needy. He still finds a way to help you in your pathetic state of weeping only. But He can only do much more if only you change your strategy from weeping to arising in FAITH to exercise the dominion mandate which He has given you.Brethren, it is time to arise and exercise your dominion. A major part of enforcing your dominion is to speak and command any mountain standing before you to give way. The bible declares in Zechariah 4:7, “Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain.” Yes, you must arise and speak to that mountain; you must arise and get in the word of God; you must arise and say to the devil, “It Is Written”. I always tell people, God cannot do for you, what you can do for yourself. When God gives you the ability to do something, He expects you to utilize that ability. When He made man, He poured out His glory, power, authority and majesty unto him (Genesis 1:28). And it grieves Him to see man always weeping, tormented and controlled by little demons. Remember, that same God who operated through lives of David, Elijah, Moses, Joshua, Abraham, and the likes, is still the same today. He has not changed. He said, “I am the Lord, I change not” (Malachi 3:6). “He is the same yesterday, and today, and forever” (Hebrew 13:8). What He accomplished through the prophets of old, He can still do through you today. So why sit back and weep all day concerning your situation. Have FAITH in God (Mark 11:22). Just believe and exercise your faith in Him. Have a Fantastic Week. With love, Elvis!
