Be UNMOVABLE
Friends, greetings in Jesus Name! Today I will be sharing with you on what I title, “Be UNMOVABLE”. Presently, there are many things causing people to be moved. When I say “moved”, I mean things causing one’s heart to be troubled. Just take a look at the prices of things in the market today – isn’t that enough to cause one’s heart to faint – especially when there is no increase in income. Listen, we are living in the very last days. And surviving in this uncertain time requires a mindset that is fixed on God’s word. A life without Christ at this critical period is in Crisis. Why? Jesus is the only hope for the moment. Today, everywhere you turn you see people complaining. Last week, I was reading a news report where a man was caught and charged to court for stealing his neighbor’s food. Yes, he was that hungry. He didn’t come to harm anybody but to feed his stomach. As someone said, “There is hunger in the land.” But the hunger is not affecting everybody. Why? For the Bible declares, “In famine you shall be satisfied” (Psalm 37:19); “And in famine you shall laugh” (Job 5:22). Those who know their God are laughing and being satisfied at this time (Daniel 11:32). Under this excruciating period, I see houses springing up everywhere, new businesses emerging, some changing their cars for the latest models. This is to tell you that not everyone is being affected. The question is: Which group do you belong? If there is a time for you to stretch your faith for the impossible, it is now. You can’t afford to leave your life to chance at this time. Your life must be lived intentionally if you are to navigate successfully in these uncertain terrian we are in right now. Being intentional at this time means knowing who you are, what you can do, and the Almighty God that is behind you. The Lord said to Joshua, “I will not leave you nor forsake you” (Joshua 1:5). He will not leave or forsake you either, if you put your trust in Him. Being faced with multiple trials and afflictions of life, Apostle Paul looked at his challenges and said, “None of these things move me” (Acts 20:24). Can you say this when boxed into a corner? Proverbs 24:10 says, “If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.” God expects us to be unmovable in the face of fiery trials. And it is only a life filled with faith that can guarantee such. “For without faith it is impossible to please God” (Hebrew 11:6). It is not shedding tears or weeping that moves God. No! If it does, many will be out of their troubles by now. “For the just shall live by faith” (Hab.2:4) – not by complaining, worrying, and crying. Sometime ago, I was faced with the challenge of executing a big project running into huge sums of money to accomplish. Somehow, I became perplexed because I had pressed all available buttons for help but no response. I remember my wife telling me, calm down and release everything to God. Then I repositioned my heart to the Lord in faith. In less than a week, I got all the resources needed to execute the project. “For with God nothing is impossible” (Luke 1:37). Remember, when we get worried or perplexed over things, we take our eyes off God. What happens next? Like Apostle Peter, we get stuck and begin to sink (Matthew 14:22-33). If others are thriving in this recession and famine, then I must thrive as a child of God. Yes, it is a change of mindset. You must change every limiting thoughts that tells you things are not working. If it is not working for others, it must work for me. I don’t know what you are going through right now. Just know that the Almighty God is saying to you, “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame kindle upon you” (Isaiah 43:1-2). Whenever we display faith in a crisis situation, God shows up speedily (Daniel 3). Faith attracts God as Fear attracts Satan. So “Be Unmovable” as you go this week (1 Cor.15:58). Remember, Fear Not…Help Is On The Way in Jesus Mighty Name. Have a Fantastic Week. With love, Elvis!
