Friends, greetings in Jesus Name! Today, I will be sharing with you on what I title, “Discover & Fulfil Your Purpose”. The greatest tragedy that could happen to anyone is to have a life and not know why it is given. You and I have a purpose to fulfil in life. Not fulfilling that purpose will amount to a wasted life here on earth. One error I have seen happening to many today is that they are living other people’s life. The best you can be in life is to be You. The moment you wish to be like someone else, then you have decided to trade your destiny for something less. Why? There can never be a second you round the whole world. You are unique by creation. You can never live a fulfilled life outside your calling or God-given potential. If you notice, it takes a lot of hard work to be like someone else. It is because you aren’t wired to be like them. But the moment you locate your field or deploy your talent, you discover it flows naturally. Unfortunately, what we see today is what I called misplacement of destiny – square peg trying to fit into a round hole. The struggles of a man’s life end the moment he realizes his assignment here on earth. I have had many occasion to counsel people, especially the youth, who will tell me they want to discover their purpose in life. I can identify with their frustrations because they are not happy with their current situation. What makes a man shine is when he realizes what he possesses and what he can do with what he has. A lot of times many settle for less because they do not have an idea of what they possess. Listen, God created you and poured His gifts on the inside of you. According to Myles Munroe, “No matter how big the world is, there's a place for you in it when you discover and manifest your gift”. Apostle Paul said to Timothy, “Stir up the gift of God that is in you” (2 Tim.1:6). How would it be that you live and die not deploying the enormous gifts of God that is in you? Remember, “Purpose is the reason for being”. You can never confuse a man with a purpose. The bible declares, “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8). Jesus himself knew why he came to this world. Life makes no meaning or sense without purpose. Your gifts or talents are directly tied to your purpose in life. Why? It’s because God cannot give you an assignment without the requisite gift or talent to fulfill it. “To one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability” (Matt. 25:15). Your place of talent is your place of purpose. A life of average is a life lived outside purpose without deploying talents or gifts. Remember, “A man's gift makes room for him and brings him before great men” (Prov. 18:16). Don’t live and die without fulfilling your purpose. Remain blessed! With love, Elvis!
