I Will Do A New Thing

Friends, greetings in Jesus Name! Today I will be sharing with you on what I title, “I Will Do A New Thing”. We serve a God that specializes in doing new things that dumbfound humanity. “And the LORD said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle” (1 Samuel 3:11). It is only God that can do a thing that can shake heaven and earth. Why? He is the Almighty God – The Great I Am That I Am – that does marvelous things. While leading the children of Israel out of Egypt, they came to a point when they were at the end of their rope. In front of them was the red sea, and behind them was Pharaoh and his troop chasing after them. And the Lord that specializes in doing a new thing showed up and opened the red sea that was before them. The bible declared that they passed through the see as it were on a dry ground (Exodus 14:29).

Really, that is the wonder of what only God can do to save those whom He loves. Presently, the world is in dire need of a new thing that will turn their situation around. Many people are living under a tense desperation in search of an answer to their problems. They want to see a new thing in their finances, marriage, children, relationship, governance, and in their general well-being. Speaking through the mouth of Prophet Isaiah, the Lord declared, “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” (Isaiah 43:18-19). The question of whether the Lord will do a new thing or not in your life is immaterial. The lord will always stay true to his word. Whatever He says, He will do.

What is important is: Knowing that the Lord will do a new thing, what is expected you and me? It’s simple! We are to fix our eyes on him, and give him an undistracted attention. “You cannot serve God and mammon” (Matthew 6:24). We can’t afford to be looking at God and focusing on something else at the same time. No! God must take the centre stage of your life for you to see Him move mightily on your behalf. He is well able to do a thing for you in this season, and deliver you from your strongest enemy. The only thing that will prevent the move of God in your life is Sin! “Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear” (Isaiah 59:1).

God wants us to reconcile with his son Jesus. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). Experiencing a new thing become a daily occurrence in our lives when we yoke up with Christ. You see, God desires to do much more in your life beyond the miracle of sleeping and waking up each day. He wants to give you life in abundance. The bible says in John 10:10, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that you may have life, and that you may have it more abundantly.” But unfortunately, many people are stuck in the past. They can’t see the new things that the Lord is doing at the moment. Why? As the scripture declared, “Whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them” (2 Cor. 4:4).

As a result, they can’t move forward. An athlete that runs and be looking back at the same time can never make meaningful progress. Apostle Paul wrote, “Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:13-14). Do you want to lay hold to the new things the Lord wants to do for you at this hour? Then keep your eyes on Him (2 Chronicles 16:9). Let me announce to you that the Almighty God will visit you with a new thing this week. Hallelujah! Really, the end of your struggles and turmoil has come. As you go this week, you will experience Healing, Deliverance, Salvation, Miracles, and Total Restoration in Jesus Name. You are blessed. Have a fantastic week. With love, Elvis!
