Responding to Satanic Attacks

Greetings in the Name of Jesus. Today I will be sharing with you on what title, "Responding to Satanic Attacks". The worst position any person can be is to be under attack and not know it. Unfortunately, many are in such conditions, especially believers who are supposed to be on the offensive against arrows of the enemy. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against the rulers of darkness of this world and against spiritual wickedness in high places" (Ephesians 6:12). Whether you aware or not, prepared or unprepared, there is a spiritual war going on against your life. Yes, you must realize it and stand ready with the armour of God. There are so many casualties in the body of Christ today. Why? Because they choose to remain ignorant of the fact that being born again comes with responsibility. The fact that you're in Christ Jesus is the more reason you must be battle ready. This is because your enemy – the devil – hates you with passion – with perfect hatred. He will do everything possible to taint your testimony. For declaring for Jesus, the devil knows you are free from his slave camp. Not only that, he also knows you will someday initiate the move to free others from his prison house. Naturally, he won't like that. Therefore, he will declare war against you on every side. But you must be aware and be battle ready, otherwise you get injured, or worst still, return back to his slave camp like many are doing today. This is what the bible calls, "returning back to your vomit" (Proverbs 26:11). Meaning, going back to your old lifestyle of sin.

As God's children, we are to be "Wise as a serpent and innocent as a dove" (Matt. 10:16). As believers, there are recommended ways we must live, otherwise being wounded by the enemy becomes inevitable. The book of Isaiah 54:17 says, "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you, you shall condemn". From this scripture, you will see that God will not do for you what you can do for yourself. It's your responsibility to condemn every tongue that rises up against you. Colossians 2:6 says, "As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him”. The question is: How did Jesus walk while on earth? And how did he respond to the attack of the devil? If you read the account of Jesus on earth, you will notice that he walked closely with His Father. More importantly, He never gave an inch to the devil. He reacted violently against demons. While tempted by the devil, He replied him on three occasions, "IT IS WRITTEN". Meaning, Jesus was heavily loaded by the "word" of God. If I may ask: How many "It is written " do you know. When the devil knocks at your door, what comes out first from your mouth? Is it the word of God? Or your own words filled with fear? Listen, the devil only responds to the word of God in you, backed by Faith.

While admonishing the church in Ephesus, Apostle Paul wrote them saying, "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints" (Ephesians 6:10-18). This scripture paints exactly who we are, our roles and responsibilities in Christ, and how we should respond to the devil. Listen, the battle we are in is already a finished battle. "For we are more than conquerors" (Romans 8:37). All that is required of us is to STAND in our exalted POSITION of Authority and Power in Christ Jesus. There we issue COMMAND to the devil, and not engaging any fight with him because he is already a defeated foe (Colossians 3:15; Isaiah 14:12). Have a super-blessed week. With love, Elvis!
