Friends, greetings in Jesus Name! Today I will be sharing with you on what I title, “With God You Can Never Fail”. Years ago, in my final year at Wits University in Johannesburg, I sat for one particular course called “Risk Management”. This course dealt a blow to many students. The majority of students who sat for this paper failed woefully. I can never forget sitting at the popular “Flower Hall” at West Campus writing the exam. On the question paper, we were asked to answer four out of five questions. I looked through the five questions, but did not have an answer to anyone. Over 30 minutes had passed and I was still looking at the questions, unable to lift up my pen to write.
The exam was scheduled for two hours. An hour passed, I still did not know where to begin. I was literally chewing my pen and looking up the ceiling. Then I tried to scramble a few thoughts on the paper, not knowing exactly what I was writing. Not long the invigilator said 15 minutes left. At this point tears started rolling down my eyes. Why? I knew the danger of failing this course. It meant spending an extra year in the University. Then I began to cry out to the Almighty God who specializes in making the impossible possible. As tears were rolling down my eyes, I said Lord: “I hand over this paper to you. I do not want to spend an extra year by failing this course. Please mark it for me”. Immediately, we were asked to submit and the exam was over. Few weeks after the exam, I travelled to a city called Durban, and there I embarked on a three day dry fast concerning the matter.
On the second day of the fast, the Lord stopped me and said, “Go and eat, I have already marked your paper”. I rejoiced greatly, went straight to Mcdonald’s, and ordered a Big Mac Burger to break the fast. When I returned back to Johannesburg, I hurried to my school. This was in December when the students were on vacation for Christmas. By this time, the results were already pasted on notice boards. When I got to the Commerce Building where the result was pasted, I met few students who were also there. Then I walked slowly to the notice board, and to my utter amazement I scored 50% in the paper. Words cannot express the joy I felt that morning. The result to me was mind boggling, because in an exam where I was to answer “four questions”, and I was unable to answer one, yet I passed the paper. Really, it can only be God.
If you recall in Genesis 18:14, the bible says: “Is anything too hard for God”. This was a question the Lord posed before Abraham when He promised him a son, and told him he was going to be the father of many nations. On hearing this, Sarah laughed. To her, such a promise was unthinkable and unreasonable. Why? She had passed the age of child bearing. But did God fail to fulfill His promise? Absolutely not! At 90 years of age, Sarah delivered a bouncing baby boy named Isaac. “For with God nothing shall be impossible” (Luke 1:37). Your Isaac will soon be delivered to your hands in Jesus Name! Just remember, with God on your side, you can never be put to shame, and failure will be far from you. He said in Isaiah 54:4, "Fear not, for you will not be put to shame; and do not feel humiliated, for you will not be disgraced.” Yes, He did it for me, and He will equally do it for you. Just trust Him, no matter the circumstance. You’re Blessed! Have a Glorious Week. With love, Elvis!
