Enough is Enough

Friends, greetings in Jesus Name! Today I will be sharing with you on what I title, “Enough is Enough”. When I was a little boy in primary school, there was this certain boy who was a bully in my class. Really, he terrorized my life. He wasn’t bigger than me in size but he had a way of talking down on everybody by his boastings of charms because his father was a native doctor. He will dare me to challenge him to a fight and see how he will injure and beat me mercilessly. Somehow I became so terrified and afraid of him. And so did other pupils in my class, because no one dared to challenge him. Knowing this, he took advantage of everyone and got away with his stupid behaviors.

One day my younger brother came looking for me, and this bad boy started taunting him and kicking him. I saw my little brother crying. And this bully had the guts to tell me that if I dare make any move, he will beat me along with my brother. This got me so angry. I felt so belittled and insulted before my fellow pupils. At this time I could not take it anymore. Then I said to myself, “Enough is Enough”. If this boy is going to beat me today, let everyone see it. But to stand here and watch my younger brother being bullied without doing anything, I can’t take it. So I pounced on this boy and gave him the beating of his life. From that day he realized I was the "Real Bull Dog" in class. When he sees me coming in one direction, he takes another direction immediately.

What is the essence of this story? You have taken enough insult from the devil. It is enough! It’s time to arise and fight. You’ve got the strength and ability. The devil has given you enough of his fear and tormenting tutorials. Today many warriors in Christ are being controlled by little demons. I do not have the time to explain much. Please, I would suggest you go and read the two books by Pastor Rick Joyner titled, “The Call” and the “Final Quest”. There you will see how the devil operates by oppressing and subjugating believers in Christ who refuse to take their position of authority. The bible declares that, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). Ignorance is a disease. The price you pay for being ignorant is very high.

You see, there is one aspect of Christianity that most believers often neglect. And that's not being battle ready at all times. Well, some say Jesus had already fought our battles and made us victorious, therefore no need to fight any longer. Indeed, you are right. You have been made victorious by reason of Christ's redemptive work on the cross of Calvary. But you must enforce your victory because your adversary – the devil – does not like to accept defeat. He keeps throwing his arrows against you. He wants to contest your victory, and test whether you really know who you are as a victor. And if you don't know, he keeps you down in bondage. To avoid that, you must arm yourself with the knowledge of God’s word and fight him off. The bible declares in Ephesians 6:10-12, “Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Listen, the bible won’t tell you to “put on the whole armor of God” if there is no battle to fight. What does that mean? You must be battle ready at all times as a believer in Christ.

As a child of God, you have so much power in Jesus Name. You must know it, and exercise it. Really, your position in Christ scares the devil to death. Each time the devil sees you, he sees Christ. Why? It’s because you remind him of his fall and total defeat at the cross of Calvary. So why do many believers go about defeated and so afraid? It’s because they lack knowledge of who they are in Christ Jesus. Remember, “Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4). You are more than a conqueror” (Rom. 8:37). Listen, it doesn’t matter what the devil is throwing against you – be it arrows of fear, arrows of defeat, arrows of poverty, arrows of sickness and disease, arrows of delay, arrows of torment and depression, arrows of joblessness, arrows of sorrow, arrows of barrenness, arrows of failure, and so on. You cannot stop Satan from throwing his arrows. That’s his job.

But what matters is that you do not sit back and allow his arrows to be hitting you. There is a saying that, “You cannot stop a bird from flying over your head, but you can stop it from building a nest on your head.” If you do nothing about satanic onslaught against your life, then you might as well remain fenced from victory for life. But that shouldn’t be your portion in Jesus Name. Remember, you are a victor and not a victim. Do not give place to the devil and never allow him take advantage over you. We shall be looking at the concluding part of this topic by next week. Till then, have the most fulfilled and blessed week in Jesus Name. With love, Elvis!
